Business gurus and Chief Executive Officers representing various business entities across the world will for the first time converge in Accra come September 28th, to attend the long awaited African Trade and Investment Global Services (ATIGS) summit, noted to promote African trade.
The ATIGS Group, Inc is a trade promotion, project facilitation and development company that provide business development services to companies looking to expand or establish their business operations in Africa.
After Ghana’s success in winning the bid to host the Africa Continental free trade Area, it is revealed that a number of investors are looking for strategies and opportunities to establish partnerships in Ghana to serve the larger African market.
It is in this light, that ATIGS is organizing the prestigious summit in Ghana to identify bankable business interests and astute business men and women in Ghana to present them to their chain of investors across the world in another upcoming summit in Dubai, dubbed the ‘ATIGS Dubai 2020’.
ATIGS operate as the economic development arm of Labacorp Group, a diversified portfolio of businesses and strategic investments in key economic sectors, with operations in five countries.
It has chapters and/or country representatives in more than 40 countries including, Ghana, Canada, Angola, Kenya, China, Singapore, Nigeria, Gambia, Algeria, Côte d’Ivoire, Portugal, Morocco, UAE, and Japan, among others.
The ATIGS Group also facilitates the pipeline between investors, and top scalable, profitable opportunities across Africa, and connects African businesses to world-class investors, buyers, and strategic partners.
Speaking to the chairman of ATIGS worldwide, Mr Bako Ambianda who is the main speaker of the event, he stated that he’s thrilled at the opportunity to expand ATIGS operations in Ghana. Asked whether there will be one-on-one meetings with him and his team, he stated that, by his checks with the ATIGS country representatives in Ghana, a number of business men and women have already bought event tickets that affords them the opportunity to have a one-on-one sit down with his team ‘’and that is exactly what we are going to do’’, he added.
“I have often heard the saying that Ghana is the gateway to Africa, and as an international business person, I believe this saying was really confirmed following Ghana’s successful bid to host the secretariat of the Africa Continental free trade area. All eyes are on Ghana and at ATIGS, we are ready to raise the next international business giants right here in Africa, and I am convinced Ghana and Ghanaians have what it takes to be part of this vision. Till date ATIGS has facilitated over 400 million US dollars in trade, we expect to raise the figure to 10 billion dollars in the coming years” he stated.
The country representative in Ghana; Mr. Wisdom King Adukpo, also on his part in an interview revealed how business representatives and stakeholders had been rushing for tickets for the event and however expressed optimism that all tickets would be exhausted before the day of the event.
According to him, ATIGS-Ghana among its plans had tasked the Ghana Chamber of Content Producers to produce a fifteen minutes documentary of investing in Ghana as part of plans to sell the investment opportunities in Ghana to the rest of the world.
